a transformation project that is replicable

seasonal peerspace
Each set is a multi-use space with a seasonally transformed interior. A studio artist transforms the space every season. They get credit in all the images and videos, plus they get paid to make the rooms, and a cut of the rental fee. They can make the rooms anyway they want — some will do better than others if they’re rented individually.
The artists are essentially building their art as sets for another set of artists — photographers and filmmakers. Doubly whammy on credit too. The magazine will show it every month too — more free promotion.
In one year there would be four iterations. When the interior is complete some type of video performance will be made, and stand on its own as a work of video art, but will also serve to promote the completed interior, which will be avail to rent on Peerspace for $100/hour, minimum 2 hours — with some perks like access to all sets on the floor for the same price — makes this a real no-brainer.

To get a sense of how small they are… but some can be big! Can be great for interviews too!

These are all examples of places up for rental on Peerspace in LA. More images of the spaces.

STUDIO A: CYCLORAMA

STUDIO B: GREEN SCREEN / LCD WALL / NEWS

This is a fairly small room compared to regular TV news. Hell, we’d need places to live too. Could create a little town around this building — Cooltown, MD.
